Lady - Emma Wildenborg

My name is Emma Wildenborg. I am 7 years old and will be entering second grade next year. Raising
Polish rabbits for three years, I have enjoyed showing them in youth and open shows. I am very fortunate to have had the help of local breeders that have set me up to be successful in the breed. My herd buck has helped me produce my own winning rabbits in youth contests and against adults in open contests. I have participated in WSRBA royalty these last three years and have been able to place in contests each year. I love my rabbits and sharing them with others. I look forward to carrying forward this experience from the state contests to the national ARBA contest in Reno, Nevada this year.

Prince - Owen Voss

Hello, My name is Owen Voss. I am 10 years old. This is my first year going to the Washington State Convention and Royalty. Last year at the Spokane Interstate Fair, September 2021 I entered a market pen of 3 Satins and they got third. I had not ever sold at a fair before. My rabbits did so well and that was huge for me to show everyone how well I have raised them up. From having them be fully home grown from my barn to the market sale. My French Lop named Otis which is a buck got Best of Variety, my Doe I call Lollipop got a blue in quality. My Satin named Copper Pot he is a buck for a blue ribbion in quality and a blue ribbon in fur. My Doe Satin named MoonShine got a blue ribbon in quality and a blue ribbon also in fur.

April 23 2022- Grand champion junior fitting and showing at RADA in Tri-Cities Washington. Nini the judge talked to me after being judged and she inspired me to do royalty for Washington State and that gave me the confidence to participate in the competition this year. Also I won the most inspiring fall outfit for the funny bunny costume contest. At Rada they have a fun competition that lets me show my fun personality and get my creativity out.

My mini lop, her name is Button a broken chestnut aggouti doe. Best of Variety at the Spokane Interstate fair in 2019. She was my first Mini Lop and my fitting and showing buddy. I was so
proud of her for being the best in her variety.

Princess - Georgia Blanton

Hi, my name is Georgia Blanton, and this is my 5th year in 4-H raising rabbits and my second year participating in the WSRBA Royalty contest. I am 9 years old and in 3rd grade. I am a junior member of the Rada Rabbits and Cavies 4-H club. Last year, I was the 2021 ARBA and WSRBA Lady. I like going to nationals and state and just shows in general because I like seeing all the breeds I haven’t seen yet, like the Czech Frosty. I also like making friends at contests and in my 4-H club.

I raise a Havana rabbit named Elsa, and Polish rabbits named Maui, Licorice, and Moana. I love having rabbits and competing in contests because they test your knowledge and if you prepare more, you can do well. My favorite contest is Breed ID because I like to see all the different rabbits and varieties. Besides raising rabbits, this year I am also raising one Hampshire-Suffolk cross lamb for the Benton County Fair. My lamb’s name is Alfredo Benedict. My other activity is gymnastics and I like my playing with my dogs. I am very excited to be the 2022 WSRBA Princess!

Duchess - Mara Lautzenhiser

Hello! I’m Mara Lautzenhiser. If you happen to be reading this, then I’m your 2022 Washington State Rabbit Breeders Association Duchess. I am so honored as there are a lot of great youth competing. I am in the 8 th grade (I’m 14) and go to Valley View Middle School in Snohomish Washington. I raise Jersey Woolies and am attempting to get further into the rabbit hobby this year by buying my first breeding trio. I currently have 5 Jersey Woolies (including my newest doe). I already have one doe for this breeding trio and am looking into the possibility of getting the rest of my trio soon. I am looking forward to attending the American Rabbit Breeders Association Nationals in Reno Nevada this year. As this will be my first ever time attending, I’m looking forward to the people I will meet there and the fun time I’ll hopefully have. I’ve been in 4-H 6 years and am a part of the Emerald City Rabbits and Cavies Club. I have been having a blast this year travelling around to many different shows and getting the chance to have an amazing learning experience at each one. You may have even met me at one. Besides my two county shows, I also participated in the Snoqualmie Valley Evergreens show, the Stevenson show, Royal Rabbits show, and Rada Rabbits April Seminar show. This is only my 3 rd year
competing in the Washington State Breeders Association Youth Competition and only my 2 nd year participating at Nationals. As I stated earlier this will be my first time actually going to Nationals. The year I competed was virtual, so I am super excited. Outside of the rabbit project I enjoy anime/manga, reading, gaming, art and singing. I am apart of Valley View Middle School D&D club and quite enjoy being a part of that. I would like to give a shout out to all of the people who have helped me along the way: my Emerald City Rabbit Club friends, my Greensleeves club friends, my Snohomish County 4H Rabbit Program friends, my mom; Jenny Lautzenhiser, Kody Friedrich, Maria Benjamin, Nicole Petersen, Wanda Weber, Charlotte Parry, Kelsi Ramos, Susan Browne and Ashley Mahaffey. These people have been a big help to me in the rabbit program and have helped me grow within the rabbit project.

King - Hunter Gildersleeve

My name is Hunter Gildersleeve and this is my first year competing in royalty and my fifth year raising rabbits. I raise Florida Whites and New Zealands and I participate in 4-H and FFA. I am a freshman in highschool and I’m the only child for my mother and have two half brothers. I have been working on breeding my Floridas with my mom. I am excited to see what is in store for my rabbit adventures next. I have really enjoyed all the friends I have made along the way at all the
shows and events.

Queen - Bella Stouffer

My name is Bella Stouffer. I am 16 years old, and I live in the small town of Buckley, Washington where I attend White River High School. This year I have continued to be involved in my school’s FFA Chapter where I am currently the 2021-2022 Treasurer. In FFA, I compete with my animals as well as public speaking competitions. I have been an active participant in raising and showing rabbits since I was 7 years old. I have been able to travel to many of the national shows and it has been wonderful because I have experienced so much of the United States. Since beginning rabbit raising, I have found an interest in showing a variety of animal species and have been fortunate enough to have guidance and support to do so. In addition to rabbits, I have shown cavies, pigeons, poultry, goats, pigs, and cows. Through showing cows I had an opportunity to compete at a dairy cattle judging competition where I placed 2nd overall. In doing this I was able to qualify to go to the National Dairy Judging competition in Madison, Wisconsin at the World Dairy Expo next fall. I hope to raise and show a lamb before I age out of youth competitions. I have big dreams and even bigger goals. Becoming a member of wonderful organizations such as 4-H, the National FFA Organization, Washington State Rabbit Breeders Association, and the American Rabbit Breeders Association I have been able to feel so much closer to reaching those goals and I have accomplished so much already. This year I was able to be my High Schools FFA Delegate and attend various meetings in order to address the changes the Washington State FFA Officers brought to light, while doing this it made me much more interested in being more involved in FFA. I can’t wait to see what next year brings!
