Lady - Georgia Blanton
Hi! My name is Georgia Blanton, and this is my 4th year in 4-H raising rabbits and my first year participating in the WSRBA Royalty contest. I am 8 years old and a Cloverbud member of the Rada Rabbits and Cavies 4-H club. I raise a Havana rabbit named Elsa and a Polish rabbit named Maui. I love having rabbits and competing in contests. My favorite contest is Breed ID because I like to see all the different rabbits and varieties, like a Netherland Dwarf Chinchilla. Some day I would like to get a Netherland Dwarf rabbit too, because they are so cute with their tiny ears.
Prince - Talon Coss
My name is Talon Coss. I am ten years old and in fourth grade. This is my fifth year doing a rabbit project. This year is a very unique year for our royalty contest. I’m thankful that we are still able to have it.
I also like to go fishing and hunting. This year I got to go along with my brother and my mom deer hunting. I enjoy ridding my dirt bike and spending time outside.
I am excited to be your 2021 WSRBA Prince!
Princess - Janie Michael
My name is Janie Michael. I am a 4th grader at Grand Ridge Elementary in Issaquah, Washington. I am a member of Bunny Thumpers 4-H club and this is my third year raising Himalayan rabbits. My sister, cousin and I all team together to raise Himalayans in Valley Meadows Rabbitry. I was the 2020 WSRBA Princess. Besides raising rabbits, I love reading, especially the Harry Potter series, creating art, and playing board games with my family. I am just getting started with my rabbit project but am excited about all that I am learning and the friends I am making through rabbit events.
Duchess - Lucy Blanton
Hi! My name is Lucy Blanton, and this is my 4th year in 4-H raising rabbits and my second year participating in the WSRBA royalty contest. I am a member of the RADA Rabbits and Cavies 4-H club and Badger Mountain 4-H club. I raise Satin and Polish rabbits and Hampshire Cross lambs. I like Satins because they have really pretty fur and I have a doe that shows well, but she’s a little too big for me to use for fitting and showing. I like Polish rabbits because they are easier to handle, a good size, and mine are friendly. I show them at my county fair and local shows, and I have competed at state fair and the national showmanship contest. My favorite knowledge contest is Breed ID because it tests your knowledge and helps you recognize the different breeds and varieties. At the fair, I enjoy fitting and showing class because I practice with my animal for months in advance. I love raising rabbits because they are great animals – they have unique personalities, and it is fun to get to know them. This year I plan to breed my Polish rabbits and sell them to 4-H kids, primarily. I have learned about the responsibility of taking care of rabbits, keeping them healthy, and the many breeds and varieties. During the time I have raised rabbits I have gotten to know amazing people that are willing to share their knowledge with me. Now that I am a little older, I like helping the other kids in my club with their rabbits. It is really fun to use my experience to help them learn about how to care for their rabbits and how to show them. It has been an amazing experience to raise rabbits and I am excited to continue doing it.
King - Nathanael Bennett
My name is Nathanael Bennett and this is my third year competing in royalty and my fourth year raising rabbits. I raise Beveren and participate in 4-H and FFA. I also raise chickens, market goats, and pack goats. I am a junior in high school and am the youngest of three. My older sisters, Miriam and Bethany, helped me get into raising animals and I work on breeding the Beveren with Miriam. While I have a lot to learn, I am excited about many years of rabbit husbandry ahead of me.
Queen - Ella Konency
Hello, my name is Ella Konency. If you are reading this then I am the 2021 Washington State Rabbit Breeders Association Queen. I am very honored to be your 2021 Queen. I have worked very hard to get to this point. Through all this, I have had support from my mom Stacey and my friend Kate. Thank you both. Also, thanks to my dad for funding my project.
I’m 18 years old and a senior at Skyview High School and a sophomore at Clark College through Running Start. I am currently working on my Associates in Biology with plans to transfer to WSU this fall, and eventually going to the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine, where I hope to earn my DVM. Recently, I began the process to get my registrar’s license, but current events have put a damper on that. One day I hope to also earn my judge’s license. My 4-H club is the Legendary Lagomorphs. I’m also in Knowledge Bowl at Skyview, but rabbits are my main hobby.
I raise Blanc de Hotots and I currently have five. The first rabbit I ever had was a Rex. His name was Butter because his fur was “soft as butter”. I got him at the Humane Society in Helena, Montana when he was six months old and I was five.
I started rabbit 4-H when I was six years old in Helena, Montana. I was in a club called Canyon Creek Stock – it’s the oldest club in Lewis and Clark County. Showing at my first fair, with Butter, he got a blue. I was so excited. But when we moved from Montana to Washington I took a break from 4-H for a few years. I started 4-H again seven years ago and it’s been (almost) nonstop ever since.
