Hi! My name is Alice Coss and I a six years old. This is my second year doing royalty. I had so much fun last year. I got to meet other kids and see alot of bunnies. I was so excited for this year and so disappointed that we wont get to be there with other kids. I have a Harlequin bunny and his name is wolly. Wolly likes it when I play with him. When I first got him I had a broken arm so I couldnt do much. I spent everyday with Wolly. I am ready to do royalty with him this year.
I also like to ride my sisters horse. I have my own saddle. I learned to ride my bike without training wheels and I like to swing and jump on my trampoline.
Im very excited to be the 2020 WSRBA Lady!!
My name is Talon Coss. I am nine years old and in third grade. This is my fourth year doing a rabbit project. This year is a very unique year for our royalty contest. Im thankful that we are still able to have it.
I also like to go fishing and hunting. This year I got to go along with my brother and my mom deer hunting. I enjoy ridding my dirt bike and spending time outside.
I am excited to be your 2020 WSRBA Prince!
My name is Janie Michael. I am a 3rd grader at Grand Ridge Elementary in Issaquah, Washington. I am a member of Bunny Thumpers 4-H club and this is my second year raising Himalayan rabbits. My sister, cousin and I all team together to raise Himalayans together with Valley Meadows Rabbitry. I was the 2019 WSRBA Rabbit Lady and won the Overall Education award for a fun board game I created called, Raising Rabbits. I was also the Cloverbud Fitting and Showing and Quiz Bowl Champion at the S.W.W. Fair. Besides raising rabbits, I love reading, especially the Harry Potter series, creating art, and playing board games with my family. I am just getting started with my rabbit project but am excited about all that I am learning and friends I am making.
My name is Bella Stouffer. I am 14 years old and I live in the small town of Buckley, Washington where I attend White River High School. This year I have become involved in my school’s FFA chapter where I compete with my animals as well as public speaking competitions. I have also become the president of the King County Teen Leaders 4‐H Club where I help coordinate community service events and plan fun and engaging teen activities. I have been an active participant in raising and showing rabbits since I was 7 years old. I have been able to travel to many of the national shows and it has been wonderful because I have experienced so much of the United States. Since beginning rabbit raising I have found an interest in showing a variety of animal species and have been fortunate enough to have guidance and support to do so. In addition to rabbits I have shown cavies, pigeons, poultry, goats, and pigs. I hope to raise and show a steer before I age out of youth competitions. I have big dreams and even bigger goals. Becoming a member of wonderful organizations such as 4‐H, the National FFA Organization, Washington State Rabbit Breeders Association, and the American Rabbit Breeders Association I have been able to feel so much closer to reaching those goals and I have accomplished so much already. This year I have found a new interest in some of the 4‐H government programs and I hope to go back to the capital next year to do some volunteer work and learn more. I also hope to go back to the National 4‐H Conference Center for an agriculture summit this next year. I am looking forward to all that is ahead for the upcoming year.
My name is Nathanael Bennett and this is my second year competing in royalty and my third year raising rabbits. I raise Beveren and participate in 4-H and FFA. I also raise chickens, market goats, and pack goats. I am a sophomore in high school and am the youngest of three. My older sisters, Miriam and Bethany, helped me get into raising animals and I work on breeding the Beveren with Miriam. While I have a lot to learn, I am excited about many years of rabbit husbandry ahead of me.
Hello, my name is Ella Konency. If you are reading this then I am the 2020 Washington State Rabbit Breeders Association Queen. I am very honored to be your 2020 Queen. I have worked very hard to get to this point. Through all this, I have had support from my mom Stacey and my friend Kate. Thank you both. Also, thanks to my dad for funding my project.
I’m 17 years old and a junior at Skyview High School and a freshman at Clark College through Running Start. I am currently working on my Associates in Biology with the goal of transferring to WSU, and eventually going to the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine, where I hope to earn my DVM and Ph.D. Recently, I began the process to get my registrar’s license, but current events have put a damper on that. One day I hope to also earn my judge’s license. My 4-H club is the Legendary Lagomorphs. I’m also in Knowledge Bowl at Skyview, but rabbits are my main hobby.
I raise Blanc de Hotots, but I don’t have any at the moment. I hope to get more sometime soon. The first rabbit I ever had was a Rex. His name was Butter because his fur was “soft as butter”. I got him at the Humane Society in Helena, Montana when he was six months old and I was five.
I started rabbit 4-H when I was six years old in Helena, Montana. I was in a club called Canyon Creek Stock – it’s the oldest club in Lewis and Clark County. Showing at my first fair, with Butter, he got a blue. I was so excited. But when we moved from Montana to Washington I took a break from 4-H for a few years. I started 4-H again seven years ago and it’s been (almost) nonstop ever since.
